Yeah that will be cool. I would like to see that bike in person. At the end of July we are all riding to northern CA we will be passing by your neck of the woods. I think we are going to be going to portland or somewhere around there to get 3 Cb750 motors in June.
I am shooting to have mine done for the first bike show on May 18th but I don't think I will have it done. We will have a couple other bikes we build in there so if not mine I hope one of my buddies wins something.

Well I will do a quick update on my build. We have the pipes mocked up, just need to do the shifter linkage, chain tensioner, and a few small mounts. I will be taking the oil tank electrical box and some other small items to be welded up this weekend. Once the motor is out I will take the frame to have finish weld done on the mounts and shit like that. Then it is time to do the body work and shoot some primer and paint. Not really doing much on the tins just doing a solid color just looking to get this finished up and on the road so we can get one of our other projects in my spot.

Me sitting on my bike as the garage gets cleaned.

My buddy’s xs650 just got a new hardtail section added

This is what we used to make my pipes(Not the best but it will work)

and here is my buddy Mikes CB750 last year. We are going to be putting a new tank, forwards and new pipes on it in the next month or so.

Oh I forgot to add I am going to build some new bars for it also. I have been looking at different styles but have not nailed down just what ones I am going to build yet.

Yeah we have been looking at building some like those. I am not sure if I want mini apes or lower Billy Lane style. I am not sure the low ones will be very good on my back if I am bent over all the time. I dig the clamp on ones you have but that might be too low for me.

Question

Ok I need some help with something, I bought this master cylinder and there is nothing that will hold the rod from my brake pedal from coming out. Is there something missing that I need on it?

I have seen those with a rubber boot on them that hold the rod in place... You also can put a stop on the brake pedal so that it can move backward and pull the rod out

I always use a small spring to keep pressure on the brake rod.

a sporty or a dyna master of that type has a threaded insert in the fitting.. the rod is also threaded & that how the 2 attach together & it also adjusts brake pedal position.. is there a threaded insert in your master.. i cant tell from the pic.. that almost looks like an old shovel master.. if thats the case.. its not threaded.. in short, that may not be the master you need..

Well I have been laid up after my surgery last week but my buddies Casey and Mike have been busy getting my bike painted and went thru the motor. I heard the motor looked great inside really no metal no sludge cleaned up the motor put new gaskets and it is all back together and painted.

Here is the frame after it came back from paint (Thanks for the nice paint Casey) but here are a few shots of the frame.

Here is the frame with the tape ready for the motor to go in.

Here is the motor and back wheel on they made nice new spacers for the motor and read wheel everything is clean and shinny.

All the other parts are out getting painted we hope to have the electrical box back soon so the wiring can be ran. Found out that the paint I picked for the tins was $$$$ so my wife will crap when she see’s that bill LOL but they tell me it is looking great. Pipes were cleaned up and just looked outside and they are getting painted. I can’t wait to see more of this bike coming together, it kills me to just see pictures or see things come together in the short amount of time I am able to go out there. Nothing sucks more than to have a deadline to get your bike finished and have major back surgery a week and half before it is to be finished, but I want to say thanks to Mike and Casey for putting all their time into getting the bike finished for the local bike show I really could not of got it this far and complete without those friends.

I will post more as we or so I say they get more done on the bike.
